- The Upper House Hong Kong was designed by Andre Fu Hau-Min, a renowned designer who studied under world-renowned designer John Powson. André Fu describes the design concept of The Upper House as “I wanted to create a hotel that would be as intimate as a private home, and I wanted to create an atmosphere of serenity and tranquility in the design of the hotel. The Upper House is a boutique hotel known for its personalized and friendly service. The Chinese name “The Upper House” means “tall” and “beautiful”. The English name of the hotel, 'The Upper House', means that guests walk from Queensway to Pacific Place, leaving the hustle and bustle of the city and ascending a tall building into a tranquil space, aiming to create a home that stands atop a tall building
- The designers have oriented the bed, sofa area and bathtub on the best view plane, and the furniture is arranged in a form that follows the contours of the building. The walls in the space are set up with multiple gaps, which can not only strengthen the communication and permeability of different spaces, but also introduce natural light without dark corners forming, making the space more natural and open, and bringing the guests a relaxing spatial experience of body and mind. Massage beds are set up in some of the guest rooms, allowing guests to enjoy the hotel's therapeutic massage services in the bedroom. The design of wet and dry separation in the bathroom allows the shower room, toilet room, washbasin and bathtub to be independent of each other, each in its own way, enhancing the comfort and functionality of each space, and at the same time using them without interfering with each other.
- The artistic end view set in many places in the space not only enhances the artistic style of the overall space, but also enriches the level details of the space, while enhancing the readability of the space.
The hotel rooms are designed with natural oak and light-colored materials, simple and elegant, creating a quiet resting place for people in the busy city center.
