- Facing the sea, the hotel is situated in an unparalleled natural environment, on the edge of a cliff, with a beautiful coastline, healing sun and sandy beaches, making it one of Europe's great vacation destinations.
- The hotel was converted from an old abandoned manor house, and the designers have tried to blend architecture and nature, using a minimalist, local approach to design, and building this beautiful and pleasant resort around the “landscape”. The view of the sea from the hotel, or the cliffs and the hotel from afar, are all magnificent landscapes. In such a relaxing and quiet Atlantic coast, the hotel is endowed with a peaceful mood, and at the same time gives people a desire to keep exploring.
- Despite the difficulties and constraints encountered in the renovation, the designers endeavored to respect the existing presence and construction patterns in order to preserve the traces of its history. A balance was found in the proportions, materials and scale of the building to emphasize its natural existence, protected from direct sunlight.
- The hotel's presiding architect, Pedra Silva Aquitos, spoke to us about the project's renovation with a light in his eyes: “The original building was lost in several previous expansions, and the renovation and design program for the entire building, integrating between traditional and modern elements, was once very difficult for us. Later on, we tried to adjust the starting point of the remodeling and design, trying to strip away the essence of the building, reasonably separating the elements we wished to keep from those we appropriately gave up, and then incorporating the new elements to keep the two in harmony and unity.”
